Our mission at Honor Flight Lowcountry
is to have a program that flies our World War II veterans to Washington
DC to see the memorial that has been dedicated to their service, and to
provide a means for our veterans to experience recognition for their
service to our nation and the world.
With World War II veterans dying at a rate of over 1,200 per day, time
is of the essence. We must have the support of all of those who will
volunteer their time and effort.
To Accomplish our Mission....
Honor Flight Lowcountry needs
guardians
who are willing to: make a donation toward the cost of their veteran's
trip, travel with the veteran, and assist him/her throughout the day.
Guardian sponsors are the vital key to our success! Your reward
as a Guardian is a day filled with priceless memories!
Honor Flight Lowcountry needs
donors
who will help provide the funding for the flight since these trips are
completely free to our veterans.
We provide meals, coach transport, tour guides, medical equipment, a
pre-flight orientation program, and other assistance/items as needed.
And we need
volunteers!
If you have ability or willingness in marketing, clerical, medical,
computer, logistics, finance or other area, PLEASE volunteer with
us. Your efforts will be rewarded with the smiles and excitement
on each veteran's face when he or she meets fellow comrades on this
memorable flight. Won't you be a part of Honor Flight Lowcountry
and help us honor the Greatest Generation?
